For Treatment, Payment, and Healthcare Operations: We may share your PHI with other healthcare providers involved in your care, with health insurance companies for payment purposes, and for our internal healthcare operations as permitted by HIPAA.

Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our practice (such as our electronic health records system, payment processors, HIPAA-compliant video platform, and messaging provider). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your information, and may use it only to perform services on our behalf. They may not use, sell, or share your information for their own purposes, including marketing.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or government regulation, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

With Your Consent: We may share your information for purposes not covered by this Privacy Policy only with your explicit consent. We will never seek your consent to share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

SMS / Text Messaging

Thrive Telepsychiatry uses SMS text messaging to send appointment reminders, scheduling updates, care coordination messages, and responses to enquiries you send us. You will only receive text messages from us if you have provided your mobile number and expressly consented to receive them. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of receiving care or booking an appointment.

How we use your mobile information. We collect your name, mobile phone number, and any information you provide through our contact or booking form in order to communicate with you about your care, appointments, and enquiries. We use your mobile number only for the purposes to which you consented.

We do not share your mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell, rent, or trade your mobile phone number or your SMS consent to anyone, under any circumstances.

We share your mobile number only with the messaging service providers and telecommunications carriers strictly necessary to deliver the messages you have asked to receive, or where disclosure is required by law. These providers may not use your information for their own purposes.

Message frequency and rates. Message frequency varies based on your appointment schedule and your communication with our practice. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt out. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further text messages will be sent to your number. You may opt back in at any time by replying START. Opting out of text messages will not affect your care or your ability to book appointments.

Help. For help with our text messaging program, reply HELP to any message, email info@thrivetelepsych.com, or call (443) 216-9780.

Protected health information. Text messaging is not a secure channel. We limit the content of text messages accordingly and handle all protected health information in line with HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Website uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze usage patterns, and improve our Services. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us recognize you and remember your preferences.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features on our Website.

Important: Once you become a patient, we limit the use of cookies and tracking technologies to ensure that patient information is not monitored or used for purposes unrelated to your care without your consent. We do not use cookies or tracking technologies to share your mobile phone number or SMS consent with any third party.
